Chiropractic & Rehabilitative Care

Chiropractic Manipulation/Mobilization

Chiropractic involves adjusting the restricted segments of the spine and extremities . Research has provided evidence that lack of proper joint motion in the spine, or extremities, may result in pain and dysfunction. One of the tools we use to address this is spinal manipulation; otherwise known as an adjustment.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

We use a number of soft tissue techniques to decrease muscle tension and trigger points that could be leading to pain and dysfunction. Our goal is to combine all of the techniques we have learned about over the years to be sure we get the best possible results for you and your condition.

Therapeutic/Rehabilitative Exercise

Research has shown that exercise paired with education, along with various passive treatment approaches, results in improved function and quality of life. Personalized care plans will often include goal-oriented exercises, along with treatment. Here we look to help bridge the gap between pain and performance.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a form of treatment to change the way our body sees pain and to give our body a better sense of positioning in space. This is done through decompression of tissue using a vacuum effect with the cups that lift the skin away from the fascia and underlying tissue while bringing blood and nutrients to the dysfunctional tissue, often leaving a circular bruise, which may result in a decrease in pain/tension.

Dry Needling

This treatment allows us to treat muscle tissue, and its goal is to reduce pain, inactivate trigger points and restore function.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

(IASTM)

This treatment allows practitioners to improve mobility between the skin, fascia, and muscles with use of a metal instrument. IASTM is performed to improve fascial glide, improve range of motion and decrease pain, while promoting a controlled inflammatory response to a given area, and increasing blood flow to promote tissue repair.
